Most memorable

I've been answering some interview questions and one of them pertains to memorable characters.
Which got me thinking...

Who is the most memorable character you've ever read? Why?

Romance is sexy!

Hmm...I would have to say Ponyboy Curtis from the OUTSIDERS. That book has me here, writing, and blogging about writing.

I read him at 14, he was 14 and I thought we could've been friends.

Now, for ROMANCE I would have to say that Jeremy Marsh from Nicholas Sparks' True Believer and At First sight. Love that guy.

I just realized my favorite characters are male. Hmm, what would Freud say about that?
