New word?

During our son's baseball game the other night, Cornfuscius coined a new word. He was speaking about a kid who threw the ball hard and he said the kid "really zung the ball to the 2nd baseman".

zung: v. threw with great force, past tense of zing, syn: flung

I can totally imagine hearing that word on Sportscenter or during a televised ball game.
